STAR PARTIES

We use the term "star party" to mean the large regional meetings of several hundred people, involving many clubs and individuals. For example, the Mid-Atlantic Star Party is held every October south of Asheboro. It lasts about a week and the fee is $20. You get to look through some large scopes and talk to folks who really know the night sky!
